30 g smør eller olivenolie

3 stilke timian

2 laurbærblade

½ dl æblecidereddike

2 spsk. mørkt sukker salt og peber

Fremgangsmåde: Smelt smørret gyldent i en stor, tykbundet pande, tilsæt løg og krydderier. Lad løgene gyldne langsomt. Hæld sukker og eddike i og lad det koge langsomt ind til det hele får et fint gyldent, karamelliseret skin. Smag til med salt, peber, og måske mere eddike eller sukker. Køl af.
